Made from ASTM F136 implant grade titanium.
The 4mm convex backing is gently domed rather than flat, which reduces pressure and friction against the skin. For piercings in tighter or curved placements, like the inside of a lip or the back of a conch or flat, that small difference adds up over months of daily wear and healing.
A spare flat back post is one of those things worth having on hand. Piercings swell during healing and a longer post gives that swelling somewhere to go. Once things settle you can swap to a shorter length for a cleaner fit.
Internally threaded and compatible with any of our separately sold screw fit tops, so you can mix and match without buying a whole new piece every time.

2026 Shipping Changes
We’ve recently moved to a weekly dispatch schedule. Orders placed before 5pm Thursday ship the following Wednesday, and orders placed after 5pm Thursday ship the Wednesday after next. Why Wednesday? Because we work in our studio one day a week - Wednesday, and from our little brewery the rest of the week. Why a cut off? We don't want to run out of time packing orders and miss anyone, so we pack a weeks worth of orders each Wednesday, and orders placed after the cut off get shipped the Wednesday after. Why is cut off Thursday? It aligns with stock arrivals for any preorder items (ie 14ct, super fancy and expensive items marked preorder).
Highness is a two person operation - along with our awesome kiddo in tow, we also run a brewery (come visit Noisy if you're ever in Ōtepoti), this change keeps us under control while still putting love into every order. For 13 years (phew) we've dispatched all orders same day, but for 2026 we've decided we need to prioritise our whānau, physical and mental health. Thanks for sticking with us!
